University of Connecticut Department of Statistics High-School Statistics Co-op Workshop May 8, 2002 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM Statistics Coordinator: Nalini Ravishanker Undergraduate Program Director We invite you to attend the Statistics Co-op Workshop. This workshop is an opportunity for teachers participating in the University of Connecticut High-School Cooperative Program to visit us and participate in a discussion of the program. We are applying to the Department of Education for CEU credits for this workshop. Participation in our workshop is mandatory once every two years. The sessions in this workshop will provide an overview of the format and contents of the Statistics 100 and 110 courses at the University of Connecticut, specific ideas and activities relevant to classroom teaching, and ideas on computing material that could enrich your Co-op teaching experience. Web based instructional material will be used to illustrate concepts and examples. We look forward to seeing you at the workshop. Schedule: The High-School Statistics Co-op Workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM in Room 108 of the CLAS building. A short reception for when you arrive will be held in the Lounge, room 326 on the 3rd floor of the CLAS building.
