- These "Special Named Lectures" will be scheduled on Friday, May 23 and Sunday, May 25. Three parallel Sessions: one on Probability, one on Statistical Theory, and one on Design of Experiments or other Applications will run simultaneously.
- Please note that each special named lecture will run like this: 40 minutes of presentation followed by 5 minutes Q&A.
- More details can be found from the page http://merlot.stat.uconn.edu/~nitis/IISA2008/preliminaryoutlineofsessions.htm.
- A named lecture's material does not necessarily have to line up exactly with the associated "name" of a lecture, but it will be a good idea if any connection could be made. The named honorees were so versatile, it may be very easy to connect practically any research work that is going on today with something (or anything) that these honorees did. Even if there is no connection in that sense, that will be quite alright too.
