Organization of Major Conferences

• Received a grant as the principal investigator from NSF-CBMS to organize a regional conference at Oklahoma State University on "Asymptotic Sequential Estimation and Testing" during July 7-11, 1980. Professor M. Woodroofe from the University of Michigan was the principal lecturer. Professor Woodroofe's SIAM (1982) monograph, "Nonlinear Renewal Theory in Sequential Analysis", was based on his ten lectures delivered at this conference. The list of invited scholars included Professors B. K. Ghosh, M. Ghosh, R. A. Khan, S. Lalley, P. K. Sen, D. Siegmund, G. Simmons, and D. Wackerly.
• One of the two Principal Organizers for the International Sri Lankan Statistical Conference: Visions of Futuristic Methodologies that was held in Kandy, Sri Lanka, December 28-30, 2004. 
• Vice Chairperson, the Sixth Calcutta International Triennial Statistics Symposium, at Calcutta, India, December 28-30, 2006. 
• One of the two Co-Chairs and Organizers for the First International Workshop on Sequential Methodologies (IWSM 2007) that was held at Auburn University, Alabama, July 22-25, 2007.
