There will be 2 midterm in-class examinations (closed-book and closed notes) plus an in-class final examination (closed-book and closed notes). No make-ups are given.

Note 1: An in-class quiz may be given at any time throughout the semester. All quiz grades (if given) will be combined with home assignment grades and averaged over.

Note 2: The Final Exam is scheduled on Saturday, April 28 from 10:00 AM through 1:00 PM in the classroom AUST 344.

 

Exam 1 will take place in-class on Monday, February 19, 10:10 AM - 12:40 PM

Here are some helpful notes:

  • The Exam is closed book and closed notes
  • Please plan to arrive in class before the start-time so that you are seated in advance. That way the exam may start promptly at 10:10 AM. If  a student walks in late, no extra time will be allowed to accommodate that.
  • Material: Chapter 6 plus Sections 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, and 7.4.
  • Out of maximum 100 points, approximately 60 points are dedicated to Chapter 6 plus approximately 40 points are dedicated to Sections 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, and 7.4.
  • The Exam questions have the following layout: Question 1a,b (10+10 points); Question 2a,b,c (10+10+10 points); Question 3a,b (10+10 points); Question 4a,b (10+10 points);, and Question 5 (10 points).
